| Tiivistelmä: | In this article the author states that the Polish M&A market has been driven by privatization so far, that privately owned companies are getting in on the act. He believes the Polish M&A market is now being driven by large pan- European and global mergers. The author also states that since the 1990s, the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) market in Poland has been largely privatization-driven. These transactions still dominate in terms of value, but over the past few years, deals involving smaller private companies have come to dominate the market in terms of volume. The author expects the significance of such deals to increase as the private sector develops. |
