| Tiivistelmä: | This article will broadly outline a "model" corporate- university relations program for R&D/technology. This outline will focus on the specific operational issues of such programs, including budget considerations, the corporate process of identifying "Key Universities," the roles and duties of the involved corporate and university personnel, and the common features of successful programs. From a corporate perspective, the program outlined in this paper is most appropriate for corporations that rely on third-party organizations (principally, universities) to perform some portion of the company's external research and development. From a university perspective, this program will be most applicable to the individuals or departments that perform industrial liaison activities at major research universities. |
