| Tiivistelmä: | In this paper the authors adopt a model introduced in Masson (1999) to look at the possible role of interdependence of expectations formed by international investors regarding the performance of emerging markets. They consider the cases of Russia, Turkey and Brazil, and assess whether the fundamentals of these countries allowed for the possibility of such "pure" contagion effects from each other. |
