| Tiivistelmä: | Water supply in rural and urban settlements is an issue of prime concern, especially in developing countries. Large financial inputs are being devoted to new projects and improvement of supply conditions. In turn, authorities have to look for sources of generating revenue to meet the expenditure, and the one major source is the consumer. This gives rise to an issue of consumers' willingness to pay (WTP) for water supply service. The present study aims at determining consumers' WTP more for improvements and identifying the factors affecting WTP. It was hypothesized that the satisfaction of consumers about water supply service, their beliefs in the water management system and affordability might influence WTP more for water. |
