| Tiivistelmä: | Leading firms enhance communication and coordination through their choice of organizational structure and use of funding, project screening, technology platforms, and other mechanisms. This study shows that the specific ways in which companies organize the relationship btw. central R&D and the business units vary considerably. Dealt with are three models: the External Partnership Model, the Relationship Manager Model, and the Individual Initiative Model. A case study methodology was utilized with a sample of 12 Fortune 200 companies from various industries. |
