| Tiivistelmä: | Despite a growing sense that speed is critical to organizational success, how an emphasis on speed affects organizational processes remains unclear. The authors explored the connection between speed and decision making in a 19-month ethnographic study of an Internet start-up. Distilling the data using causal loop diagrams, the authors identified a potential pathology for organizations attempting to make fast decisions, the "speed trap". |
