| Tiivistelmä: | Before the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) embarked on a knowledge management program, key client information was contained on several different databases, and there wasnt a system to manage or maintain the flow of knowledge around the Bank. This hampered the Bank's ability to deliver on its mission to promote free markets in former communist countries. Here, the authors describe how the Bank chose technology suiting its distributed workforce, and took the first steps toward creating a knowledge-sharing culture. |
