| Tiivistelmä: | This paper examines the relationship between investments (hereafter as: inv./invs) in information technology (IT) and retail firm performance. Untapped firm and establishment micro data from the Censuses of Retail Trade and the Assets and Expenditures Survey is used. It is shown that large firms account for most retail IT inv., employment, and establishment growth. There is found evidence of a significant relationship btw. IT inv. intensity and productivity growth. |
