| Tiivistelmä: | This article focuses on the factors which affect outsourcing of information technology (hereafter as: IT) and information systems (hereafter as: IS) activities in hotels. The factors taken into consideration are the conditions which systems area resources need to meet for area to achieve a competitive value. The results show that the factors determining IS/IT activity outsourcing are related to creating valuable resources and to market transaction costs. Finally, the IS/IT area performance does not affect the decision to outsource. |
