Tiivistelmä:The relationships between employees and employers are changing; traditional career developments and job security are replaced with the idea of employability. Companies offer employees developmental potential in exchange for their hard work, and aim to add their attractiveness also in the eyes of other companies. With these changes the different labour market intermediates are getting a bigger role, and companies themselves are forming ‘HR alliances’ in order to manage their human resources. Different forms of ‘HR alliances’ are introduced in the article. The author examines the different types of employees that are likely to be managed with ‘HR alliances’, the factors that influence company’s involvement in these alliances and the factors that influence the company’s selection of collaboration partners. A proposal of potential research methods for studying this phenomenon is presented at the end of the article.
