| Tiivistelmä: | The author applies an extended analytical framework based of Callons sociology of translation and examines the collapse of Barings Bank. The article demonstrates how Leeson connected himself inseparably to the need for profit of the Barings management, and this way made them defend him when his actions were scrutinized. The process through which Leeson lost the control of his socio-technical network is presented and the difficulties of Leesons presentation of himself as a rogue trader are discussed. |
