| Tiivistelmä: | This article explores the role of trade credit in the transmission of monetary policy. The authors develop a model featuring external finance from trade credit as an additional source of funding for companies that cannot obtain credit from banks. According to the authorsÂ’ prediction, the tightening of monetary policy will result in a reduction in bank lending relative to trade credit. |
