Tiivistelmä:This study describes how a team of instructors has developed a technique to improve the communicative skills of students learning foreign languages (hereafter as: f-lng./f-lngs.) as part of an international management education program. The authors share their experience in a French business school in designing and using short mini-texts or snippets in their approach to teaching English as a f-lng. Students are motivated by challenging materials to get actively engaged in the learning process. Students concentrate on the content rather than the form of the language, enabling them to communicate more effectively in the f-lng. The rationale for developing and using snippets in the business classroom is explained. In conclusion, student feedback and some lessons learned are dealt with.
