| Tiivistelmä: | The purpose of this article is to explore the impact of the drug trade on security and stability in Tajikistan. It also explores the effects on idea of state, territory, population and state institution in order to capture the nature of the relationship between drug trade and safety. The article also discusses for example societal security in the form of addiction and drug-related diseases, the military threat, most notably manifested by the merger of crime and terror and economic and political threats resulting from a criminalised economic and political system. |
