| Tiivistelmä: | The author researched the correlation between film criticism and box office earnings. Through researching film reviews and their link to box office earnings he found out that the correlation is zero between critical ratings for films and gross box office earnings. However with movies released on more than 1,000 screens, he found out that positive critical ratings were actually positively related to gross earnings, and collectively with production budgets and the number of opening screenes explained more than half the variance. |
