| Tiivistelmä: | By demonstrating how Scandinavian socially responsible investment (SRI) developed from the 1960s further on, this article contributes to the literature on national SRI varieties. Combining findings on Scandinavian SRI with insights from previous research and institutional (herein as: inst-al.) theory, explicated are the role of changes in societal norms and values, the mechanisms by which SRI practices disperse, and how investors adopt and transform practices to fit into their surrounding inst-al. contexts. It is especially focused onto how different investor categories act as inst-al. entrepreneurs during specific historical periods, and how these roles come to shift as inst-al. rule systems of varying societal levels change. |
