| Tiivistelmä: | The article investigates the challenges in human resource management in the hotel industry all around the globe. A survey of 243 hotel managers identifies human resources as the most persistent problem hoteliers face. However, the types of problems are different in different parts of the world. For example, in Europe retention rate of employees is the top issue, whereas in Africa hotel managers are more concerned about labor shortages. |
