| Tiivistelmä: | In this article the author discusses shareholders' rights and obligations in the Canadian financial system.He reports the recognition of solvency and security, together with proper use of funds as the fundamental issue. Accountability is therefore the key question for the protection of depositors and shareholders. Both management and largest shareholders must be accountable in a regulated financial system. At the moment Canada is faced with the selection of system of checks and balances on which the system relies. |
