Tiivistelmä:The authors present two studies about personnel selection.In these studies it was investigated how the employment interview and the letter of reference relate to personnel selection decisions.As conclusions the authors present that interviewers have clear conceptions about suitable personality characteristics of their personnel but if the applicants competence is very high or very low the applicants personality has little effect on hiring decision.
