| Tiivistelmä: | Radical alterations in the structure and function of a business may result from the computer supported automation. This survey focuses on the consequences of automation for the nature and organisation of labour in small enterprises, and on the qualitative changes in job-content of the operator of CNC machines. The automation within Small and Medium-sized Businesses /SMB/ will be described. On the basis of case- studies, the effects of the introduction of CNC machines are investigated. |
