Tiivistelmä: | Profit sharing (PS) is based on the philosophy that owners and workers have common interests in the success of the company and that workers ought to benefit from the success. This is at odds with Marxist thought, which views labor and owners as enemies. It is contrary to the scientific approach, which regards an organization as job segments and workers as standardized components. PS is a unifying concept that is concerned with the organization as a whole. It assumes workers are partners in the enterprise, capable of making unique and valuable contributions to its success. It is shown how PS rewards workers in proportion to this success, going beyond simple financial incentives. PS assumes a cooperative effort of labor and management. |
