| Tiivistelmä: | The transformational role union leadership currently plays is presented, as well as opportunities it is underutilizing. A key dilemma occurs: how can the use of top-down change levels increase the efficiency of the change process without undermining the democratic foundations on which unions are built? The three phases of transformational leadership are determined as feeling the need for change; creating a vision for the desired and state of the change process and institutionalizing the change. Transformational leadership within a union setting is summarized. |
