| Tiivistelmä: | The criterion for the success of a project is usually the degree to which deadlines are met and pre-determined budgets are respected. The comprehensive concept of project management was developed with a view to improving the performance of projects in attaining their goals. However, in spite of innumerable publications on the subject, the authors still have no clear definition of the concept, nor do they have a clear description of its content, all of which makes any assessment of the success of project management so much more difficult. On the basis of a systematic analysis of the main problems encountered in the application of project-management and a theoretical, situation-oriented approach, the authors outline the conditions for the success. |
