Tiivistelmä: | An important point is that maximin decision-makers do not have to assume a game situation, i.e. active opponent, in order to apply and use mixed strategies. It may well be that one reason for the lack of use of such models is the apparent confusion about the role of mixed strategies. An example of the application illustrates the value of a more careful discussion of the topic. The strongest form of implementability is called allocatability, in which randomization is not necessary to realize the benefit of the mixed strategy. The main application example involves portfolio planning by a maximin decision-maker. |
