| Tiivistelmä: | The number of horror films and other kinds of frightening programs is on the increase. Since there is no effective means to hinder children from watching these programs researchers elaborated so-called desensitization treatment in order to reduce emotional reactions. Two strategies were applied, namely a verbal explanation and an exposure to a replica of the fear object. After the trial with 141 children the results were assessed. |
