| Tiivistelmä: | The unrealized expectations in connection with the so called Management Informations Systems (MIS) of the seventies are discussed. A classification of management information is presented. The functional and motivational aspects of management information are discerned. Three types of management information systems are described and analyzed: formal, informal and individual. The characteristics of these three systems categories are examined in detail. Management's information needs are assessed. A procedure for the generation of personal management information is determined. It is shown how to build up an individual management information system. |
