| Tiivistelmä: | A questionnaire survey of 300 German companies shows that their innovation times are longer and their innovation costs are higher compared with their Japanese and American competitors. They also need a longer time for innovations based on external technology than for internal innovations. Another result is that costs elasticity for innovation time is smaller in German companies compared to their Japanese and American competitors. Therefore, German enterprises are less competitive on the basis of innovation times and on the basis of innovation costs. |
