| Tiivistelmä: | The development of European economic integration within EEC is briefly reviewed. The role of the international trade in the process of economic integration is examined. It is shown that the segmentation of production processes and international subcontracts are necessary for the further development of European economic integration. It is also demonstrated that international subcontracts are necessarily accompanied by exports and imports between the member countries of the Community as well as between the countries of the Community and outside partners. Statistical data are provided to show how these relationships developed from 1980 to 1986. Based on an analysis of statistical data two principal conclusions are drawn. |
