| Tiivistelmä: | More than ever before, the market, society and the environment put heavy demands on company managers. To cope with them is sometimes not easier than to square the circle or to create the ecological-economical perpetuum mobile. Absolutes are ultimately unattainable, but a few peculiar inaccessibilities in the accomplished processes and products are natural and unavoidable. The first crucial step in problem solving is the transformation of the problem into a manageable project. Ten criteria of a project appraisal are listed and some possible ways of their application are described. The relationship between project planning and corporate strategy is examined. The use of models and application software packages is highlighted. |
