| Tiivistelmä: | From an American point of view there are two characteristic features of EC which deserve mentioning: one is separation of powers and judicial review so prominent in EC constitution (similar to the US and different from European national solutions) and the rather inward looking stance of the EC - the "Fortress Europe" syndrome - which presented itself during GATT negotiations. |
