| Tiivistelmä: | Some of the problems of applying regulatory trade measures in East-West trade are examined. The anti-dumping regulations and measures of the European Community are reviewed and the statistical evidence of anti-dumping pursued by the Community in the period 1981-1985 is analyzed. A detailed case study involving the investigation of imports of electric motors from centrally-planned economies and Yugoslavia is reported. The implications of anti-dumping policies for trade with centrally-planned economies are presented. The case for a new revised framework approach to anti-dumping policy versus the centrally-planned economies is set out in the wider context of trade relations. |
