| Tiivistelmä: | The impact of information systems planning is reported including matched-pair evaluations for a large sample of firms. The extent of strategic planning, systems planning and implementation of plans, the three planning constructs in the research model, are measured by responses by information systems executives. The impact is assessed using a user satisfaction instrument responded to by user-managers in the same firms. Hypotheses related to the above three phases of planning are tested. The analysis indicates that systems planning and the extent of activities directed towards actual plan implementation are significantly and positively correlated with user satisfaction. |
