| Tiivistelmä: | The different environments of a company are characterized. Indicators for environmental structures, processes and changes are determined. A number of indicators of the most important functional areas of a company are also identified. Because of the turbulent environment as well as the even greater complexity both the external and internal world, early warning systems are becoming increasingly important for company management. It is shown how an early warning system works. A step by step procedure of building up such systems is presented. Different managerial aspects of this task are considered. The limits of early warning capabilities are highlighted. Suggestions for the continual improvements of the system are made. |
