Tiivistelmä:New forms of work organization call for global communication, possibilities for self-development and the exploitation of one's own personality potential at the workplace. The human capital must be activated systematically. The key to these goals is an institutionalized and well-conceived employee assessment system. The requirements that an assessor have to meet are discussed. The requirements for the system are examined as well. The process of assessment is described and analyzed. The risky consequences of misjudgements are considered.
