Tiivistelmä: | In construction activity work is non-repetitive in nature, job tasks are non-cyclic, or consist of long or irregular cycles. PATH (Posture, Activity, Tools and Handling) was developed to characterize the ergonomic hazards of construction and other non-repetitive work. A pilot study of construction labourers suggests that they spend a large proportion of time in non-neutral trunk postures performing manual material handling tasks. The results demonstrate how the PATH method can be used to identify construction operations and tasks that are ergonomically hazardous. |
