| Tiivistelmä: | The authors show in this paper that if labor market frictions reduce the wages of skilled workers relative to wages of unskilled workers, firms may provide and pay for general training. Since labor market frictions and institutions shape the wage structure, they may have an important impact on the financing and amount of human capital investments. |
