| Tiivistelmä: | The paper investigates philanthropic behaviour the time and money people give to philanthropic causes. It distinguishes between the supply of charitable donations and volunteering that is driven by solicitation and the voluntary supply that is unsolicited. Human, social, and cultural capital and income variables accounted for more variation in the probabilities to volunteer or donate, given respondents were not asked to contribute, than the probabilities to volunteer or donate, given respondents were asked to contribute. |
