| Tiivistelmä: | The central bank decreed that the poor-managed trust investment companies with small-scale and bad assets should be cleared, merged and closed after the second half of 1993. The fact that Guangdong International company of Trust Investment was closed in October, 1998 by the people's Bank of China has a great impact on the trust investment companies in Shanghai. These readjustment shall increase the difficulties in borrowing from abroad in short time but shall be welcome by US-European investors because they shall provide them with a law framework expected by long-term investments. |
