| Tiivistelmä: | The Three-Gorge Project will lead to a tremendous decrease of cultivated land, especially fertile land of the reservoir zone, and yields of grain and economic crops. On the other hand, after completion of the project, the giant dam will raise the storage water level to 300 meters above sea level so that part of dry and hilly land can be turned into land with stably and high yields. Besides, floods, drought and other natural calamities can be protected from effectively. |
