| Tiivistelmä: | One of the key characteristics of the representation of business interests in Germany is the separation between employers' associations and economic or industrial or trade associations. In practice, however, there are close institutional and personal links between both types of business association, which at regional level have even encouraged mergers. We take a look at this hitherto-ignored phenomenon and also examine the development of business associations in east Germany. |
