Tiivistelmä:These days marketing an international tourism destination is very dynamic and competitive. This article considers a self-organizing (SOM) neural network for segmenting the international tourist market to Cape Town in South Africa. The results show that the application of SOM neural networks is useful. A backpropagation (BP) neural network model provides additional market knowledge, and it is concluded that the use of these models may improve Cape Metro Tourism's understanding on the international market.
