| Tiivistelmä: | Few previous studies have tested the theory about the determinants of bond yields by using Eurobonds data. Little is therefore known about the processes generating the yields and prices in this important market. The authors' objective is to bridge this gap in the literature. The authors sought to verify whether the traditional theories of finance were still a necessary and sufficient basis for explaining the determination of yields on US dollar denominated bonds in the Euro-market. In general, the existing theories proved to be both necessary and sufficient. |
