| Tiivistelmä: | Tradable and arbitrarily divisible emission permits are investigated within the scope of linear activity analyses. The paper focuses on their consequences regarding production planning. While the scale of production is extended a non-monotonous use of production processes as well as emission permits ensue, which is proved by some numerical examples. This non-monotonic increase originates in the combined incidence of different types of substitution effects between production processes and emission permits. Therefore to coordinate the resourcing of emission permits and to plan their application - choosing the right combination of production processes and emission permits - is identified to be a very complex task with strong interdependencies (original in German). |
