Tiivistelmä:This article questions the out-of-the-box approach in creating innovations. The stories of successful breakthrough innovations have common aspects. To begin with, the firm comes up with significantly different offer that meets the customer needs. The product is introduced successfully and the firm invests enough in it. Finally, the firm out-executes its competitors trying to enter the market. Motivating employees is a necessary part of managing innovations. The business system delivering value to customers needs to be protected.
