| Tiivistelmä: | At present as the basis of computer and new high technology, semiconductor industry will be the key element of the successful transformation of Chinese industry and economy. But the current situation in China is that not only the technology is far behind international levels, but also most of the present production capacity is centralized in foreign tradesman. Its development tendency does not comply with the strategic conception of "substitute import and then develop freely" by Chinese semiconductor industry. In 1999 international semiconductor market will enter another cycle. Under this background, China should catch this opportunity, which means the government should centralize resources, give overall consideration and make a comprehensive program again, provide a certain protection of domestic semiconductor products in the respect of policy. |
