| Tiivistelmä: | The upsurge of the knowledge economy forces the midwest region to face with dauble pressures of realizing industrialization and developing the knowledge economy and its economic structure will undertake fundamental changes. The midwest region should establish a mechanism, under which knowledge can be capitalized, and innovate stimulating system in connection with the economic marketization reform. It also should take the initiative to adjust the economic structure in accordance with requirements of the development of the knowledge economy. The midwest region should concentrate on fostering the growth pole of the knowledge economy, accelerate the construction and perfection of information networks, develop the career of technology and education under the guidance of the market. |
