| Tiivistelmä: | This paper analyzes the reasons for the economic growth and development of the western area in China and then raises some policy suggestions for its economic development. It thinks that the backward economic development in the western area results mainly from the common effect of many factors including capital, human resources and matural resources as well as system rather than its own geographical conditions and the problems in the state's preferential tilting policy. |
