| Tiivistelmä: | Final assembly sequencing methods are based on the idea to sequence the assembly of products so that each part is consumed at the final assembly line at a constant rate. It is the suppliers' responsibility to keep up with demand for parts and to allocate resources accordingly. This paper proposes an entirely different approach, improving both the supplier lines' autonomy and the flexibility of the final assembly line. The sequencing method is mathematically formulated. Computational results indicate the effectiveness of the method. |
