| Tiivistelmä: | In this article, the results of a survey on JIT implementations by 1 035 USA manufacturers is presented. Implementation status of JIT systems and benefits achieved are assessed in each of the organizations studied. The findings suggest that JIT manufacturing is beneficial for all USA manufacturers regardless of firm size or type of manufacturing process employed, but the make-up of JIT systems may differ depending on firm size and type of manufacturing process employed. |
