| Tiivistelmä: | This article reviews some of the recent publications on the controversial areas of business process reengineering (BPR). As usual, with business fads, having been subjected to extravagant claims about the benefits companies could harvest from embarking on reengineering, the phenomenon is now reaching the mature stage in its life cycle and critics are sharpening their knives. Although a relatively young phenomenon in historical terms conclusions from the first efforts at reengineering in the United States have given critics plenty of scope for scorn. |
